This page is about taking on 30 day challenges. I recently watched a short TED talk by Matt Cutts about 'Try something new for 30 days' and that inspired me to start with my first 30 day challenge. Hopefully, there'll be plenty more to come.

Photos
The first challenge I set myself was to take a photo / photos of something new, interesting  or inspiring for 30 consecutive days. I was not allowed to go 'hunting' for photos. I had to share what came my way on any given day.
Alphabet
The inspiration for my second challenge comes from Eddie Murphy's movie: A Thousand Words.
I am setting myself a challenge to write something about our life in China, following the letters of the alphabet BUT I only have a 1000 words in total.
Shelley
This challenge is all about a dual challenge that my colleague and good friend, Shelley, and I have. She was inspired by my photo challenge and suggested that we take a photo of her earrings for the next 30 days. She plans to wear a different set of earings to work every day for 30 days!
Christmas
I saw a lovely Christmas decoration in a shop window this afternoon while we were out and about and it reminded me that today is the 25th of November - 30 days to Christmas. So, here's my challenge - find 30 different Christmas decorations in Beijing!
Doors
I recently visited Nanjing, where my good friend, Frankie, showed me around. I did not have time for a 30 day challenge, but I was inspired by all the interesting sites, so I decided to embark on a 30 Door challenge. Enter the 30 doors!

'Dis!' amidst COVID-19
An article I read at the end of 2019 and our nation-wide COVID-19 lockdown are what inspired me to do my next 30-day challenge - 'Dis!' amidst COVID-19.

For the sake of context, you may want to read Hugh's article to understand 'Dis!' and watch the TED talk that inspired me to do 30-day challenges.
